I'm originally from London, UK, and have called New Zealand home for much of the last 15 years. I'm a husband, father, and counsellor with a deep interest in what it means to be human and how our experiences shape who we become. I work with teens and adults facing a range of challenges, including addiction, trauma, sexual abuse, compulsive behaviours (i.e pornography or gaming), relationship difficulties, and questions around identity and self-understanding as well as with couples and ACC sensitive claims.
My work is shaped by both personal and professional experience. I take a psychotherapeutic approach, and I'm interested in how our past experiences continue to influence the present. Exploring the patterns, relationships, beliefs, or coping strategies that have developed over time and consider whether they're still serving you today.
I don't believe people are problems to be fixed. More often, I find that when we better understand ourselves, things begin to shift naturally. Reaching out can feel daunting, but in my experience it's often not as difficult as we imagine. If you're curious about whether we'd be a good fit, feel free to get in touch.
